This sounds rather suspicious to me. Why would they pre-announce a 1c/sh upside? Just 100million in revenues in a 8+ billion Q. That type of revenue difference is basically rounding error. Just a few days of shipments counted from one Q to the next. On top of that their Q does not end for another 20 days. Is DELL hurting too much by way of all the puts they sold on their own stock a few years ago? Maybe a ploy to prop up the stock short term before they expire? Very suspicious. TG

kap, re: Intel has an interesting problem. Dell is taking share from the rest of OEMs and as the result Dell is annihilating margins for the rest of the PC industry. By taking share Dell is trashing Intel's margins the worst due to heavy discounts they get on CPUs. Bad assumptions lead to bad conclusions. John
