yeah ratdog, the whole defined pension deal is gonna get very interesting. I know somebody who has been digging through annual reports, looking at companies contributions for 1998-2000 and then what is happening in 2001-2002 and beyond. Its very interesting looking at that data in annual reports, in terms of what companies didnt have to contribute and how much that has shifted (its not small change). Gonna be an additional hit to earnings for companies with pension plans, where in the boom years they didnt have to add cash in to make the numbers, and now, well we all know that story. A friend sent me a for example case data on a large bank, I will locate and post soon. Very interesting stuff.
