I generally did no more than one or two trades a day, sitting out totally when I didn't like what I saw. Before going direct, I used to pay 6 cents/share for a rountrip thru Schwab, so 50 bucks vs 1800 bucks IS a difference! Do you think there are many traders out there doing 50 30k share trades a day from home all day long? That would drive me crazy. I prefer one or two on a very liquid stock that moves nicely during the day...

PS - I have cut back even on the one or two lately, as I'm making a telecom bet on the debt free firms that have crashed, like JDSU. I used to make fun of those traders that 'had to have more JDSU' in the triple digits. At 2-4 though, it's worth a buy IMO....
