I see you've got Truman an accused criminal now.

Truman was a good and decent man making a difficult decision as best he could. There's no reason to doubt that his first and overwhelming priority was the rapid end to the war.

There is also no good reason for you to picture him as a monster who deliberately murdered 100K+ Japanese civilians with no military justification in order to scare Stalin.

What would you have done in his place?
