why do you think they are not firing back?

It is obvious -- the same problem we saw in '92, '96, and '00. The Democrats will DO ANYTHING -- including lying, cheating, misleading, and stealing elections. The Republicans, as a group, simply won't do it. They will stand by and lose the political battle before they will sacrifice their principles.

Let me give you this perfect example. Former Clinton administration officials (as well as Clinton, himself) have repeatedly taken cheap shots at Bush -- generally, in an attempt to bolster the [nonexistent] Clinton legacy. Yet, when asked whether Clinton contributed to the current corporate fiscal crisis, Bush immediately replied "No", with a tone that even liberals admitted was clearly an effort to avoid any criticism of Clinton. Now, the correct answer is obviously "Yes", but Bush was NOT ABOUT to criticize the former president. Similarly, Bush I have NEVER, ONCE criticized the Clinton administration in public.

This is professional, respectable behavior, decidedly non-political in nature. Even as the Bushs are silent concerning the Clinton administration, the Clinton/Gore administration continues to Bash Bush. This is a great example of how Republican decency and morals effectively limit the exposure of Democrat malfeasance.

For the same reason the Dems are just jabbing.
I figure when the brawl starts it will expose a lot.
