John, thanks for pointing out the crossovers

I noticed that sometimes this crossover comes late in the decline, almost at an intermediate term bottom such as 10/99 or 4/00; and in 9/01 the crossover came after the decline instead of before (understandably so, however).

I noticed that you posted a $BPCOMPQ chart the night before, and I was wondering how much significance you place on these in a shorter timeframe, such as on the daily charts. Do you have a particular target in mind, say 30 or so? I was thinking the gold miners and other small caps that have held onto much of their gains this year will keep it from going much lower than that right now.
