There is an unsettled question as to whether a President can be impeached for actions before he became President. The most widely held opinion seems to be no.

However, were Bush in a position to trade on inside knowldege while President, and did so, I have no doubt the Democrats would try to impeach him. And might be succesful.

I just thought you and she should consider the possible consequences of pushing matters.
