Designers create the design and make it possible but PE make it happen and are the source of execution you see in the scaleing. As a chip scales you need both design and process improvements, I'm biased on who contributes more...see you at 3 gig.

Intel has done a remarkable job of integrating their designs with their process. That's what a product is. This is also where AMD falls on their face. Their designs don't fit their process, hence no product or bad yields...

PE tweaks the process to optimize transistor performance. That is work!

You guys do a great job! Keep it up!

BTW, PE stands for more than just Process Engineer...
