"Major vandalism" is the eye of the beholder. GAO determined that damages totalled about $14,000.

I believe that Bush's response to the questions was appropriate for the amount of damage done. He didn't deny it occurred, but he didn't make a deal out of it. Once again, giving the outgoing administration (already mired in horrible liberal scandals) the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not sure what you're complaining about. There WERE childish damages which cost the taxpayers money -- this is an irrefutable fact. That Bush chose not to make an issue of it is to his credit.
