Yea, 60 CPUs per wafer is pretty funny! The last time I did the analysis, I got 65 CPUs per wafer. I'm thankful to TSMC for giving us better estimates of Intel's wafer capacity. Do you think they overestimated Intel's capacity so they could claim to be #3 instead of #2?

Or maybe you think Intel can only uses 50% of their capacity to make CPUs!

Intel Architecture group has 85% of Intel sales
Comm group has 7.6% of sales
Wireless Comm (including flash) has 6.8% of sales
OTHER has 0.5% of sales

Breaking down the IAG sales, only about half of Intel processors sell with Intel chipsets and the ASP of these chipsets is about 1/5 th ASP of the processors. Therefore chipsets can't account for more than 10% of IAG revenues. Embedded maybe 5% (8% and 4% of total revenues, respectively). So allocating 10% of total capacity to each of these is more than generous, as it is for the two Comm groups.
