I guess praising Nixon as a role model didn't work, so now some are trying to reinvigorate McCarthyism.

JMHO.

Dear Michael: Damned if I know, but strangely some still do. I suspect they are the more gullible of our group. JDN

>>"The American people should be asked these questions over and over again between now and November."<<

Sorry, the American people won't be able to answer those "questions?" between now and November. The American public will be too busy watching the Cheney/Andersen video and asking questions about Harkengate. You know...the insider trading scandal by the guy on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee who sold 212000 shares of stock just 8 days before the company announced a $23 million loss that dropped the stock 25%. Btw, did that guy go to jail? The American people will be wondering about that too!

Bye, bye Hooverites!!

Good article. But to assume that the Bush team either hasn't identified the enemy, the challenge, or dealt successfully with it a great percentage of the time, is to grossly underestimate them. If the Bush team wasn't wildly successful so far, you wouldn't see the kind of desperate amateur shots being taken, such as the transparent one Daschlegephardt gambled on this week. Those two guys are scum, yes, but they both know better, and are completely backed into a corner, with an off-year election bearing down on them.

Bob Dole would have botched this. Bush 41 would have, also. This is a far more competent team, and it's driving the American left to the brink...
