<<Portugal. Spain, Italy, Greece are not Germany when it comes to reliability>>

And Louisiana, Missouri, and Mississippi are not New York, California, or Washington.

The point is that a unified currency and economic zone allow for greater specialization and gains from trade.

The fact that Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Greece are now under the authority of a centralized body, should keep more them in check more than ever.

The same can be said about the US and the Dollar. The best thing for the world is the dollar not being numero uno. Forces discipline amongst monetary authorities and we'll be a lot more prosperous in the future because of it.
