Watch 8800 on the DOW for a potential right shoulder. Crazy action today.

Hays has lost most of his credibility in my eyes since he made a call for a new bull market last year, based entirely on a single indicator (the TRIN/Arms Index). Of course he has been proven to be completely wrong. The reasons why the TRIN has quit being useful (NYSE dominated by irrelevant preferred stocks, decimalization) have been widely discussed.

Before that call, I was impressed with Hays... he seemed to be calling the market decline well. But now he is still basically clinging to being a secular bull ever since that screwed-up call.

IMO he's pretty much useless until he admits his mistake to himself.
