AMD is shifting its near-term strategy towards pursuing
mkt-share at the expense of profitability, and is experiencing problems with MirrorBit that can lead to long-term profitability issues and loss of competitive
advantage.

This can't be true. AMD has the BEST Yields in the World...

Warburg trims 2002 and 2003 EPS estimates on Intel (INTC) By Julie Rannazzisi

UBS Warburg lowered 2002 and 2003 earnings estimates on Intel (INTC) based on a more moderate processor shipment outlook for the second half of 2002 and 2003 while also trimming its price target to $27 from $30. But the brokerage maintained its "buy" rating on the stock as it continues to believe the PC segment will likely be one of the end-market segments to resume growth when IT spending recovers. "We believe the growing prospect of at least a moderate economic recovery and the probability of higher corporate earnings later in 2002 should lead to some corporate spending for servers and PCs in late 2002 and acceleration in corporate spending in the first half of 2003," Warburg said, recommending that investors add to positions of Intel in the "mid-to-high teens." Intel shares climbed 3.5 percent in the pre-open.
