I do suspect that a few people in the Democratic establishment are a bit embarrassed at not having come up with that particular tidbit during the campaign.


Where ya been? It did come up during the 2000 campaign. It also came up in both Texas races Bush was in. It is also clear from internal SEC memos that the matter was not pursued because there was no case.

It was also sobering to be reminded of what I already knew: that Bush's career as a businessman was so thoroughly devoid of success.

I didn't know that and I still don't know how someone can claim his business career was devoid of success. I guess it depends on how you define success.
