I'm with you. The guy is trying to sell books by using shock value, a kind of literary Howard Stern approach. Ten years from now he'll say. "Damn, guess I was wrong. Sorry. Thanks for the royalties."

That's the nice thing about books. You can write anything you like because there is no law against expressing an opinion. Maybe I'll write one about how the Dow is going to 25000 by 2006 and support it using historical data from the 90's. I'll bet it sells too.
