Yes, my question was dumb - it was vague enough for you to serve up a meaningless non-answer. And being the devious critter you are, you did. You probably feel pretty clever about that. Accepted the Japanese surrender. Of course, Truman also accepted the Japanese surrender - when it finally came! As any sane person would have.

I'll try another question, if you were in his place what would you have done until the Japanese surrendered?
