Haim,
the same old story of "nothing changes very much at all" is what you can say about Europe right now. Europe is a complex portfolio of too much ingredients to change anything easily... this is bad in good times and vice versa. The overall development is slightly positive. People and the corporations have found workable arrangements and work-arounds with most of the clumsyness. With the US to the contrary, there seems something like a major shift going on. While there were no illusions about Europe (you can only love Europe "in itself") major beliefs are shattered on the other side. The world is losing its guide and this is not only hard for the US itself but also for the other ones, jealousy leaves place to incertainty. A slowly falling Dollar is among the symptoms...
