and I don't consider cartoons on walls, or vasoline and glue as vandalism]

Yes, well, it certainly isn't appropriate behavior for White House employees. I don't know of a private company that would tolerate its employee behaving like a bunch of 13 year olds.

Give me a break. Try visiting almost any office in most major cities the day after Halloween. This stuff is not worth discussing, let alone worrying about. I am much more concerned with corporate financial vandalism and corporate credibility than I am with WH pranks and the sexual habits of public officials. But I guess that's just the liberal in me.

It isn't the cost. It is just the very idea. But, the reality is, that the Clinton administration was full of absolute neophytes and children, and that is precisely the reason for the horrendous failure of the 8 years. You had people like George Stephanopolous, Paul Begala, Joycelyn Elders, and of course, Clinton himself, running the government.

Yes, you're right.......they were horrible years.......no budget deficits, relative peace, declining crime rate, low unemployment, less welfare recipients, life was fun etc. Of course, with the good, comes the bad.......4 years of a Bush.

You had people like Madelyn Albright and Warren Christopher, total incompetents for the jobs they were assigned. And then, there were the interns (I won't go there). So, it shouldn't have surprised us.

Have you ever listened to the current Secretary of the Treasury? Do we know if Cheney is still alive? Do you ever listen to Ashcroft? One week its the dams, the next the power plants, the week after the bridges etc. Yes, Mr. Ashcroft, we know we're under possible terrorist attack. We won't forget it if you skip a week. Is this conservative analism, or is it to keep us scared so that when the army takes over the gov't we won't be too upset? Which is.....inquiring minds want to know?
