Mike... I'd be comparing Company A&B in the same space, not in two different spaces. It's highly unlikely, I think, that both would have the same revenue experience. As for Beta, I just feel that a high beta allows me to stretch the buy point lower, and a low beta (these stocks really don't have low betas) would tighten the window. That's about as far as I go with technical analysis. You're very right about the better balance sheet. I haven't forgotten that....but there's been so much fudging lately. It's pretty hard to fudge the top line, and you sure can't fudge the quote price. For now, those two seem like pretty solid numbers. Ask me again a year from now, and I will probably have a totally different answer. Chaz
