Investor2 ,

1. $2,287.38 but that includes a lot and doesn't include a lot. Included is a KVM switch(~$50), a router(~$70), Win XP Pro($135), Norton System Works($11), an 8 channel digital recording card($150), 2 -7ft. cat6 networking cables and a soundcard($91) even though the m/b has sound, not included is a keyboard, mouse, monitor and other software. The DVD is OEM, the harddrive is OEM but still has a 3 year guarantee. The XP is OEM but it came sealed in plastic. Everything else is a retail box.

2. Yeah we considered a DVD-RW but decided to wait. My friend had no immediate need for one and the prices keep going down while the quality is going up.
