PHONY ACCOUNTING 101,000,000,000.00

TexasDude,

Re: "Individual (criminal) taxpayers have a right to expect privacy in the tax system, which has been violated as part of the IRS' public filing."

I'm not a fast learner. But once the fact came out that Enron was telling all its shareholders how it was making "above estimate" earnings quarter after quarter, and then it was disclosed that they didn't pay a penny in income tax over four of the last five years, I figured out a truth about the breathless "earnings" announcement that most corporations tout every three months. That they have nothing to do with reality.

All corporations refuse to divulge their IRS information!
That means all statement about "earnings" that they file with the SEC are fiction.

Kinda disheartening for a straight-shooter who'd like to believe the a$$holes on Wall Street who tell us to "invest" for the future, while lying to us with every breath. Disgusting.

And jeezus-gawd-in-heavin don't get me started about "pro forma", talk about a hand job too far.....
