>>How many times have you taken the time to answer survey questions online or on the phone. Most mature adults wouldn't take the time. Young users who might be a Mac user might take the time.
Do you think for a second, many replies were from students who might only have access to a Mac in their school library or that Mac users might also be a younger age group who have a tendancy to use the net than does the older more mature user who might just by chance be a PC user?<<

Don -

The thing is that the study jonkai referred to was not based on a web survey. The study was done by the Neilsen company, a company that does know a thing or two about statistics.

In any case you seem to be arguing against yourself in saying that if a survey was skewed toward younger users then it would be more likely that a higher percentage of them would use Macs. If that were true, it would be a good thing for Apple, wouldn't it? That would mean that a lot of first-time buyers (the young) are getting Macs.

As we all know, Mac users tend to be very loyal. In time, that would lead to increased market share for Apple.

So if you believe that, go long on AAPL. Do it soon, because the bottom is near.
