If anybody looks at the wcom thread they will see that the average investor, while claiming to be knowlegable about stocks, is all to willing to blame others for their losses and call on the gov.to make good those losses ,at least in part.

iso you say <<<Maybe you should try working with larger cap stocks with less volatility.

rotflmao...how has the dow done since this post ?

you know, i'm still debating avg'ing down on swc to a cost basis of 15 and change and see what happens from there...certainly the sentiment on this thread on this play is quite negative...

there is no tale of woe from me, you just hear and think what you wish to suit yourself...all i did was post to you awhile back asking what you thought of swc when it had dipped below the point where it had bottomed due to the SEC investigation fear...you did not have the courtesy of replying to me at that time...part of the reason i bring up swc is that it could be an opportunity here, heck, i made money trading it at over twice the current price...but you'd rather "cover your butt", as if THAT is what is important...

of course i do not want to see any of my stocks below my purchase price, however i still believe that from 17 where i recently re-entered i'll still come out okay. too many people around here have all the time in the world to post their successes and suddenly when a failure arises, they are "not running a service"...

geez, i certainly hope i'm up for consideration for being banned from the thread after this post ! there really is no point in posting here when you cannot see that you have treated me in a condescending manner...

iso, one reason I can't get too high on OSX and to a lesser extent XNG is this thing right here:

finance.yahoo.com^XOI&d=c&k=c1&a=v&p=s&t=5y&l=on&z=m&q=l

finance.yahoo.com^XOI&d=c&k=c1&a=v&p=s&t=my&l=on&z=m&q=l

I don't think the oil industry is healthy, and is just hanging on. A brutal bear market will not spare it. If world economies contract even a minute amount from here the over supply of black stuff is going to result in a huge shake-out. Call me an insider.

After that, if it happens, pickings will be quite juicy.

I've thought about shorting some XOI stuff, but just haven't had the cajones.

Preserve capital for the days ahead.

IMHO.
