The only NATO ally that we need for Iraq, and that we can count on, other than the Brits. And if Blair should lose out, we could be in trouble with England, IMO.

If you thought security was tight for the press during "Saddam one," wait for the coming one. The Pentagon doesn't want to tell them anything. I really enjoyed Hackworth's memoir of how he got around Saudia Arabia during the Gulf War, when he was a reporter for Newsweek. Dressed as a soldier, teamed up with another retired grunt,got a jeep, and pushed his "Colonel Hackworth" to the limit.
