I was gratified to hear on today's news that a major ID counterfeiting ring was busted. There is a pernicious and pervasive flaw in our system of identification and finance, where a victim of "identity theft" is almost treated like dirt by the government and the financial institutions. This will continue to be a major pain in the rear for a lot of people. Sadly.
