Ted, Coulter is a bit extreme, and sometimes over the top. She also might not be very nice when talking politics, but neither mean nor extreme = stupid.

I do believe Coulter is a little more extreme than most of us are. However, I don't find her to be mean. I think "fed up" is probably a better characterization. But the notion that she is "EVIL" is just liberal namecalling because she has them cornered while they have no argment.

I want to know, why is it that James Carville, who is AT LEAST as extreme and mean as Coulter, gets a pass from tejek & others? While he refers to Coulter as "evil", he doesn't refer to Begala as evil -- a man who blatantly lies in an attempt to defame his opponents and bolster his own political views.

It isn't enough to point out that conservatives are not mean or extreme. It is important to keep in mind that liberals have dozens of "attack dogs" who are both MEAN and EXTREME -- Carville, Begala, McCauliffe, Daschle, Gephardt, Brazil, etc. (-- not to mention the racists at NAACP). But no one EVER points this out. Not only are they unprofessional in their attacks, they will outright lie to further their political objectives -- something that can't be said of Coulter (I am hard-pressed to think of a conservative who could legitimately be accused of lying in this way).

The double standard really gets old after a while. It is clear that Coulter is making progress in breaking it down.

Tim, in my mind she is stupid because she's uses her intellect to hammer people. It may be effective in getting her attention but I think it does little for her cause and creates little benficial change. If she doesn't care about that, then maybe she's not stupid but then what is the point of her being..............just to be an arrogant loudmouth, trying to impress people with her smarts?
