Two separate issues simply got accidentally conflated. Yes, America has survived some incredible descents into madness, has it not? So long as the Constitution is respected as the ultimate lawful authority, there will hope remain. It belongs to the aggregate of the American family to preserve this principle when it is shunted aside to serve partisan interests. They may speak out or remain silent, and on thus does the future of individual rights depend... I have company coming in a couple of hours, so I think I will duck outside for a bit.
