I don't think LVLT will survive this either.

That's not what I said.

But if they survive only to have the stock double to triple in 30 years. Is it a good buy?

I believe the consquences for failure are so great that these people have no choice but to pump money in when any sane business man would file for BK.

If BK were to occur. The contract between Kiewit and Level 3 will be examine with a fine tooth comb. Imagine the Board of Directors and the Chairman of the Board all came from the vary same company LVLT issued its non-competative cost-plus multi billion dollar contract. Obviously there is a conflict of interest that is best not looked into. If Level 3 defaults to any creditors all hell will break out.

I expect to see this company go over the deep end on dilution.

Remember in January 2001, Level 3 file for a $2 or $3 billion dollar shelf offering. In the summer of 2001 Level 3 issued a press release stating they wuld be diluting the stock soon. Just recently LVLT change the OSO program so that massive amounts of options can be purchased. Now they give Buffet the convertable debt.

This company wants money bad. The market cap is under $2 billion. The dilution is coming in around $4 to $6 billion.
