Whatever the exact definition of "spam", your repetitive hyping of your business here is akin to a store owner walking into a competitor's store and telling the customers in the store that your place is better.

"Is it your position that though I'm a former member of this site, I shouldn't post here anymore since I run a similar site?"
-No

Is the fact that I've got a link to my site in my profile a bad thing?
-No

"Is it rude that I spam SI on iHub by making a shorthand to link threads and posts from SI onto iHub?"
-No. That is not spamming SI, it is using SI's critical mass to give your own site a credibility lift through references.

There is enough OT on this thread, but yours is related to increasing your business. Out of your last x number of posts here, how many as a percentage are related to the market or trading or even a single stock? 0% ? How many are related to hyping your business? What value does that bring to this thread? What value does it bring to your business? See what I am getting at here - your posting on this thread is a one way street in your direction.

Bob I do not see you doing anything out of line.
You even offered some solutions to an indexing problem if I recall correctly.

If you have read any of my posts you would know that I do not cut corners. If I thought you were doing something wrong here I would publically blast you to high heavens.
