Hi grampa,

Re: I'd guess that you have a different opinion.

Great observation. Religion really is no more than an opinion.

Oh, I believe that there was an Aramaic speaker named Jesus who was a very moral man. And I'm certain that he has nothing to do with the religion that has been developed around the mythologizing of the man. The originators of the New Testament were very clever story tellers, some were con men, and a few were possibly even convinced that their embellishments to the truth were serving a higher purpose. These are the really scary one. Kind of like that lunatic John A$$croft, who scares the living daylights out of me because he can't tell reality from fiction. I greatly prefer a con man evangelist any day. At least they understand the game and don't have the heavy cross of hypocrisy to bear.

Now about this "rapture" thing and the Second Coming. It seems that some of the evangelicals are going way off the deep end on this one........ red heifers, Palestine, yada di yada.

Why, it's enough to make me wonder how the human mind could get so damn cross-wired and wacky.

YMMV, :)
