I've been gone for a few years, but I can almost assure you (based on prior experience) that Intel is controlling expenses VERY tightly right now. I hope this comes through in the conf. call.

I believe this is very likely (both at Intel and AMD). I agree, it is sad but necessary. It's tough for anyone who loses their job, especially in today's job market.

If Intel does reduce headcount, I believe we will hear about it very soon. How do you think the market would react, if Intel were to announce such a reduction (a "few" thousand - 10 thousand heads)?
