And YOU enjoy yourself, too! I think that sounds like the most fun -- even more than hanging out on SI, if such a wildly improbable thought can even be contained by the human mind! You mentioned the back roads being more fun. I bought a book recently called Road Trip USA. Cross-Country Adventures on America's Two-Lane Highways. If you didn't have your trip all planned out already, I'd suggest you pick it up. Drive carefully.
