My broker gives choices, and I have my 'sweep' account in a government. I would think all steps would be taken to make sure MM's don't lose money. If I remember correctly a couple of big firms bailed theirs out after some losses a couple years ago... rather than take the abuse. If we double dip from here, will all the firms have that luxury??? I don't trust most money managers let alone your average brokers MM managers.
