Yes. When they pull bids, it is a black hole and buyers rule at whatever price they want to pay or however low the bagholders want to sell at any price to get the hell out.

And the house always has deeper pockets and larger open lines of credit than the bagholders.

The accumulation going on today in 2002 and the level of shorting above the Specialists let alone the total NYSE Members dwarfs the total action in 1974 before the countertrend launch. 1974 is kindergarten school compared to todays accumulation.

And the economy is in much better shape the 1974. The service economy is a much greater percentage of the pie today and is better able to weather the storm and cushion the blow of the complete macro- landscape.
