Goldsnow, I wonder how much of a relevance to the "war on terrorism" there is with toppling of Saddam Hussein. If he has lost majority support of his defence forces, then could he have had the necessary support to fund the terrorist attack on Sept. 11. Wouldn't this General or other defectors have leaked out Saddam's activities? Again it is all propaganda which we need to guard against.

The most recent terrorist attack on tourists in Pakistan and that in an Indian village in Kashmir is proof that they (Al Qaeda terrorists) are still active and are out to create trouble. What has Bush done to win that war? I think having failed to win that war, he needs to show some sort of a victory elsewhere. And besides, getting rid of Saddam will redeem his father, never mind what good will it do the US today. Remember the US attacking Grenada and claiming victory. I think we are about to see a similar situation with Iraq, considering what the former Iraqi general has claimed in the Reuters report.
