"thanks for you response glenn, I liked billpoint when i was selling stuff...because of the direct payment...they took a very small percentage of the 'electronic checks'....I did seem to have a lot of people pay with billpoint at the time...but i haven't really followed what happened to billpoint ...i'm assuming they were sucked up by ebay...or as is implied...."

Billpoint's discount rate is 30% greater than that of PayPal. Not too much of a difference when selling a few hundred or thousand dollars a year. It is a huge difference when doing millions. Your experience with receiving most payments from Billpoint might have been prior to PayPal capturing the market.
