Who could disagree with such rational thoughts? At least who could disagree with them rationally? I totally understand why people would disagree with them emotionally. But rationally? Good thoughts and a good article. Now could you find out how many people were accused in the communist witch hunts? Because I am having trouble finding reliable totals.

I know you like to read non fiction and i was browsing the 5.00 and under books at Barnes and Noble- since I had to order some books recommended to me by my son's doctor, I figured I should combine for shipping and save. I ...accidentally...ordered 26 books in my effort to combine and save, which may not have generated the savings I had in mind. But I thought you might be interested in some of them. Here is the list- I thought you might like Grant, and the Outermost Dream (I've read some of his other novels, he is a great writer), The Book on the Bookshelf sounds FANTASTIC- it is a history of books, my dad would have loved it, Once in Europa, and The Custom of the Sea- if you have any interest in that sort of thing. There is also a great biography of Cherry out- the man who wrote The Worst Journey in the World- about his voyage with Scott, but is was more than 5.00 :-) So I'll wait until it goes on clearance and read this other lot first. Here is the complete list of what I found- although I did not order Tortilla Curtain- and it was 5.00 and under because I had already read it, same went for a couple of other books, and a book about Guyana called The Ventriloquist's Tale sounded good, but too depressing. The Immaculate Deception and Second wind are "pool books"- so unless you like mysteries, don't give them a second look. I just happen to enjoy Francis and Pears.
