If Texans believed the amount of votes would determine the election, they probably would have added another 200K votes for Bush. Since they already knew the state was headed for a Bush landslide victory, many simply decided not to show up. Contrast that with Whopper liar Al Gore. The people who knew him best didn't vote for him. He lost his own home state. Never before has a President been elected after losing his own home state. Think about it, all he had to do was win his home state and he couldn't do it! All the whining about Florida and the popular vote aside, that's a far more illuminating story.
