"Come 2004, voters won't care a bit about what Bush's poll numbers were in 2001. But they will care how the economy is doing and whether his policies have worked," says Mark Rozell, a political scientist at Catholic University of America.

Don't you think the economic slump (budget deficits, job loss etc.) have started a bit too early for this Bush than the earlier one? Does this not tell that we will be in a worse off economic state in 2004 than we were in 1992?
