Where I think we are in disagreement is the inevitable conclusion that WMDs will inexorably flow from Iraq to al-Qaida. This link has not been established and it has become a forgone conclusion by many military analysts, especially the hawks. I am not presenting your argument as unreasonable or unrealistic, but I am merely pointing out some incongruities in this traditional school of thought.

This is not acceptable reasoning. You have been informed, by The Government, that Iraq is brimming with WMD and that while they have not seen fit to bestow these upon terrorists in the last decade, such use is imminent unless full scale war is immediately initiated. This conclusion is not open to question. The application of any train of logic that leads to such questioning is clear evidence of Unpatriotism and will not be tolerated.

Please do not point out that all governments, everywhere, always, prepare their people for an intended war by portraying the prospective antagonist as an immediate and terrible threat. The Government has spoken. We do not question. We believe....
