Aloha Mike here. I changed the alias because I too frequently fall short of the great things that "aloha" really stands for. It also instantly identified me as living in Hawaii and I got too many PM's asking for tourist information. You said: It's a choice of openly supporting the polite or impolite style of their presentation. My post to Paul was keyed in to the impolite nature of the presentation. It struck me as oddly out of character and I felt I needed to say something about it. Ironically, it was my way of jumping into the fray with UF instead of always leaving it to him to remind others to chill. In that respect, Paul and I were on opposite sides of the same page. With JS, his posts are substantive and usually (to me) educational but always laced with stinging wit that seems directed right at me and my stupidly decimated portfolio. I have come to expect that from him. Were he to really turn up the heat, and if I showed up minutes later, as I did with Paul, I would have likely said something, though in some ways I feel the hypocrite for having done so. I have spent time in SI jail myself for have posted flames similar to Pauls. I don't know bout no moderated-demoderated Gorilla thread. I have largely abandoned my search for an overarching truth and am now in hot pursuit of a good fantasy: Technical Analysis of Gorillas and Kings. I will likely bookmark whatever you decide to support and promise to mostly keep my mouth shut, as I have done here since the day the thread was created.
