Rts, Among your trading guidelines, I didn't see anything regarding the effect of currencies.

I'm going to trot out my nearly discredited model of the dollar/Euro relationship. We have a puzzling paradox. Dollar is down compared to everything Yen, Euro, gold, oil. And yet the nas futures are up. This is totally contradictory, and if there is really a positive correlation between dollas and stock prices, I have to expect that stock prices will fall down hard today.

Last Friday, near the close, I bough a few shares of Altera, LSI and WDC. If I have any profit in them this AM (as a result of the positive nas futures), I will sell double the purchased amount, and expect to buy them back cheaper 2 days after the dollar stops falling.

If however, both the Euro and US stocks end the day in the same direction, then my theory is totally bunk, and no-one should read my posts. Or at least, not pay any attention to them.
