Dan, I'm not about to defend Bush's insider sale of Harken.

The SEC conducted an independent investigation of this matter. The investigation was conducted by a liberal Democrat who had been told by the head of SEC to follow the evidence and let the chips fall where they may. The SEC chief at the time stated today that the investigator was one of the most competent ever to serve the agency. The investigator clearly had no motivation to conduct the investigation in anything other than a fair and competent manner.

Bush was specifically cleared of any insider knowledge in connection with this trade.

Why do you and others continue to accept, even promote, the notion that he acted on insider information?

I think it is a shame when people accept these misleading statements made by liberals who are known to lie, while ignoring the facts.
