I think Tbreds are just around the corner, and have 27 to 28% lower power consumption at 1900 and below speed grades, according to Aces: aceshardware.com

In a tiny case like the Shuttle SS40G, I think the 28% will make a lot of difference, and will result in the computer operating in silent mode more often.
