El Paso gets subpoena from U.S. Attorney (EP) By Michael Baron
El Paso Corp. (EP) is down $1.76, or 9.9 percent, to $16, in early action. After Friday's closing bell, the Houston energy firm said that it has received a subpoena from the U.S. Attorney's Office to produce documents related to 'round-trip' or 'wash' trades of natural gas. El Paso said it would cooperate fully with the request. The company noted that it has already stated that it hasn't engaged in such practices with regard to requests from Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Earlier in the session, the stock plumbed a 52-week low of $15.76.
