I started skiing when I was seven, and my first season pass was $15. Those bear-trap bindings and lace up boots were deadly. At least two kids in my third grade class had full leg casts. My first pair of skis were 190 cm Head Downhills that had a steel plate laminated across the top. (Imagine that on a 7 year old!)

My first season I stayed on the rope tow, and next year moved up to the T-bar. A few years later I got my first ride on a real live chairlift!

I hope you make it back to Aspen. The Snowmass Village golf course is one of my favorites.
