I've been in cash again since my nice little foray 7/02. Just dipped back in nibbling on FLEX, RFMD, ESST, PCS. Noticed that they have been holding up well, although at still very depressed levels, lately in spite of overall market dump. Dunno if this is the fabled capitulation, and don't care--just looks like situation is ripe for making a few bucks. We'll see.

Jim
P.S. And a bit of JDAS. So far so good.

Stockman:

"Is Capitulation Close?"

If you want to find a true bottom it's not when people are saying, "Jeez, is this the bottom, is it too late to buy?" but rather when they are saying, "Is it too late to sell?"

I thought we got a whiff of the latter today, but we've pulled back from the brink so far that maybe not.

The VIX spent a lot of today north of 42, and now it's back down to 39 and change.
