Mind

We are close. The volume and price action the last week is encouraging.

I'd like to see it close at the lows of the day but the bargain hunters are stepping in here.

<preferred investment is to pay off their house>

Just for fun and games what will that lead too after it is paid off?

Possibly increased consumer spending, helping the economy grow, stronger consumers, etc?

Mind,

Sorry, I am one of the morons you are referring. This will shape up as no more than a tradable bottom. Nothing more.

The volume is pathetic. Lots of traders (or survivors) on the sideline anxiously looking for technical signal to get back to the market. Last week it was VIX. Today was the VIX + 90% down volume. Sorry folks, none of the problems are solved: dollar is going to continue to weak, foreign investors will keep folding up the table, consumer and government debts will keep piling up. Without creative accountings, how can these firms show any decent earning growth? I think that all the major tech firms will eventually be forced to expense stock options down the road by no other than investors.

Enjoy the great trading opportunity. I traded PFE and DUK for some decent one day gains. Didn't get the QQQ calls. Too high premiums and too low put/call ratio. The greatest bear market in human history won't end up with traders lining up to catch THE BOTTOM. No way.

And...
