Oh, ain't that nice ... you wish me nothing but happiness, I'm sure.

Hey, 'turkey' -g- (that was a high school 'insult' in the 70s -g-) I ain't yer 'stalker.'

Here's a hot tip for you on the chandelier, BTW ... just in from another SI member who is vitally concerned about your welfare and stress in moving residences!

Cleaning the old place is practically as stressful as 'sprucing up the new,' you know.

You need any help with WALLPAPER, BTW?

Let me know...

CHANDELIER CLEANING

If it's a CRYSTAL chandelier, there are different recommended cleaning and maintenance procedures than if the unit is constructed of brass.

We will assume that your piece is exquisitely fashioned of solid brass and finished in a delicate and whimisical faux antique patina.

If this is the case for you, the best way to clean it is with lemon juice and salt.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

* A stainless steel mixing bowl important from Germany.
* A 3M brand Celluose sponge.
* 2.5 quarts of chilled bottled water that is precisely 8.765 degrees cooler than room temperature.
* Several sterilized squares of WHITE, 100 percent cotton imported from Bangladesh (it's so much PURER than that dirty ole cotton grown right here in Dixie, you know ... how gauche. -gg-)

Average time necessary to complete the task: 2.5 hours.

This should be enough information to get you started ...

Take it away, "Captain!"

I'll be sure to stop in later this evening to check on your progress ...

For motivation, just think: it could be a major accomplishment for you to dutifully record in your daily journal for today ...

Ta Ta for now!!!

<breathlessly!>

NEOCON!!!! IMPORTANT!!! ...

I forgot the LEMON JUICE!!!!!!!

And SALT!!!!!

Lemon juice imported from Samoa. Only. Best in world. 3/4 cup.

Sea salt imported from Pelaponesia. Only. Best in world. 2.67890 centimeters, precisely.

Gently stir with the stainless steel whisk imported from Germany (you remember: the one that I insisted you purchase to perform the cleansing-of-the-antique-tatted-doily project of a week back? THAT one.)
first, the lemon juice.

Then, carefully 'salt' the waters with the sea salt, gently stirring in a CLOCKWISE motion in a subdued manner that will not produce any 'wake' in the mixing receptacle. That's VERY IMPORTANT.

When the cleansing waters appear 'clear' again, it's time to roll up the sleeves and GET BUSY!!!

Using one square of the imported from Bangladesh 100% cotton cheesecloth, fold with knife-edge precision into half, then half again.

Dip one corner into the holy water cleansing solution. Saturate.

Apply thricely to each limb of the antique brass finished sconces on your piece.

Repeat until all are complete.

Allow to dry precisely 11.356 minutes.

Repeat application process four times more.

Allow, after final application, to air-dry in precisely 78.9 degree room temperature, overnight.

Oh. I was SO WORRIED that I'd 'left you hanging,' so to speak ... without appropriate instruction!!

-g-

I SO HOPE I caught -g- you in time!!!

Best of luck, big guy ...
